This course provides a comprehensive overview of the motion capture pipeline from setting up the lab and capturing data to using Motion Builder and Maya software to create animations.
Joseph Handzel, Domin Lee, Brent Zorich
Animation storyboard
Create a storyboard for an animation and then break those motions into a
shot list. These storyboards will be the frame work for the content to
be created during the class.
Ed Brough
Data capture
Capture the data generated during a performance. Clean the data using
the appropriate software and create an appropriate skeleton in Maya.
Use the motion capture data to animate the skeleton.
Jane Drodz
Blending and editing
Blend different takes of motion together to create new motions or link
several motions together to create one longer motion that would not be
possible given the confines of the motion capture studio.

Final animation
Create an animation by applying all of the final motions to characters
created in Maya. This final animation should be similar to the
storyboard created in the first assignment.
