Online Interactive Score Project for William Forsythe's One Flat Thing, reproduced Bio Unbound: Stuff Of Life

In collaboration with world renown choreographer William Forsythe, ACCAD and the Department of Dance are developing an Online Interactive Score Project for the choreographic work of Forsythe's, One Flat Thing, reproduced.

DNA multi-user touch screen workbench allows users to learn the concept of Complimentary Base Pairing by manipulating and connecting nucleotides by hand. Interacting with the wall projection next to the workbench, users engage their entire body in exploring the concept of super coiling.

Nanofactory Faculty and Administrator Modules in Higher Education

The Virtual Nanofactory is a 3D interactive visualization of research and applications at the Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center and the Center for Affordable Nanoengineering of Polymeric Biomedical Devices.

The Nisonger Center at Ohio State University is collaborating with national partners and select urban, suburban, and rural colleges and universities to develop, pilot and disseminate Faculty and Administrator Modules in Higher Education (FAME) that are designed to improve the quality of education for students with disabilities.

This project developed a CD-ROM to be used in Columbus Public Schools orientation programs, in OSU teacher preparation classes and educational technology classes, and served as a model to teachers of culturally relevant teaching through technology.

3D Virtual Sketch Interactive Game on Communities in Holmes County, Ohio
Virtual 3D Sketch is a tool for real-time interactive three-dimensional visualization. A new electronic resource for ecological, agricultural, and cultural diversity education via the Internet.


 
Finger Spelling Processing of Perception
Completed in 2001

The program shows a virtual hand, able to fingerspell any English word. The interface allows the user to control the position in space from which the image is viewed, as well as its appearance and dynamic presentation.
This project demonstrated the implications of computer graphics technology to the human perception of reality.
   
Bills to Law You Choose
A simulation was done to trace the process of a bill as it travels through the legislative process on its way to becoming law. An interactive, step-by-step “walk” through module designed to demystification of the election process.
