Cheng Zhang

I am a Ph D. student in Computer Science & Engineering Department at The Ohio State University. My research interests include Computer Graphics and Computer Animation. My academic advisor is Professor Richard Parent. I am also working with Professor Maria Palazzi as a research assistant in the Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design (ACCAD), where I have a chance to explore several projects that require the creation of visual effects.

Before I entered the Ph. D. program, I worked in Silicon Valley as a programmer for Lockheed Martin IBS and Ingenuity System, Inc. My work experience broadens my career vision and proves quite helpful in my current research. I have also been enjoying drawing and oil painting since my childhood. My passion for art and creativity has never faded, and I feel very fortunate to be working in computer graphics and animation, a field with the cutting-edge technology that is destined to shape our future life.
