Spigot #1: The lighting is intended to illuminate sculptural form while maintaining continuity with ground and backround.(ie: I used low contrast as a means to achieve compositional harmony, unity, softness in air quality and illumination.)
Spigot #2: Here I used high contrast between form and ground/background, a tactic that creates high definition of the sculptural form and enhances the 3 dimensional quality (without the compositional distraction of dramatic shadows and atmoshpere.)
Spigot #3: The use of a dramatic shadow and backlighting is intended to enhance both the form and the two dimensional graphical quality of the image. The illumination of the fog/ atmosphere and the shallow depth of field work to dampen the light source in the background and "push" the form forward.
