^ Task: Style Guide
Definition
Each team will present:
- A style guide documenting the visual and aural rules to be followed during game
development
- Detailed information on the game environment and audioscape
Requirements
The style guide should formalize the concepts introduced in the design document into policies that
can be applied to the many aspects of the game:
- color palettes and art production best practices
- audio quality and size targets
- audio volume comparison samples (must match existing games on arcade)
- asset naming conventions
- fonts and UI guidelines
The style guide should also detail aspects of the game universe and user interface:
- character sketches, descriptions, and specs for all game entities
- backgrounds and or level designs for each level or visitable area
- audio designs for each level or visitable area
- all UI elements and screens
- UI element interactions (rollovers, sound effects, animations, transitions)
Grading Criteria
your grade will be one of:
100 a well-thought out, highly detailed and useful document was created
80 a moderately detailed style guide or was incomplete or hastily thrown together
0 nothing was turned in or many required game elements were not demonstrated
