Definition
Each team will present techniques and tools for measuring game performance and identifying issues.
Requirements
Discuss and demonstrate how you will accomplish the following:
- measure frame rate and determine the best target rate for the game
- identify bugs in:
- player controls
- player behavior
- non-player behavior
- gameplay
- game engine
- game ui
- the attract loop
- play test the game (create test scripts)
- stress test the game engine
- identify performance bottlenecks
- identify memory leaks
- report issues in meaningful ways
- reproduce reported issues
Grading Criteria
your grade will be one of:
100 effective and thorough testing procedures are implemented
85 procedures are not well planned and thorough
0 nothing was turned in or the procedures are lacking
