planning your approach

task

a - familiarize yourself with the flash interface

from the application menu in Flash, choose Help > Flash Help, and read the chapters titled Workspace and Creating and Managing Documents under Using Flash

b - put yourself in an automaton's shoes

thinking back to task 01, imagine you were trying to tell someone how to arrange your tiles for you; what actions would you ask them to perform? what information would they need to complete those actions?

assuming your tiles are all Sprites, consult the ActionScript Language Reference to make a list of the properties and methods you'd need to ask that person to access, and give examples of what a few of the steps might look like as code.
