The Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Graphics Research Specialist to join our team.
We are seeking a creative programmer with ability to work hand in hand with artists, designers, scientists and other technologists; Involved in research, ideation, planning, and prototyping phases of our research and innovation oriented projects; Broad knowledge of graphics hardware and software technology; Backend development skills; Contributes to research problems related to application of computer graphics; Understand and analyze the interplay between hardware, software, and media processing algorithms; Ability to understand/solve problems in real-time virtual environments, computer animation, interactive media; Translates between artistic/technical languages; Leads and collaborates on new applications development. Develops and delivers demonstrations/course materials to a wide variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical. Presents/publishes research. Manages/implements grant projects. Teaches/provides creative technical advice to graduate students. Reports to Director of ACCAD.
