Render Tests: Sampling and render time comparison between Area Light sampling level and Camera(AA) sampling level

Assignment #1: Still life / sculptural composition with simple forms and emphasis on materials and lighting. Objects can move/float/rotate, but should stay in a relatively fixed location. Consider a composition using juxtaposition or contrast in scale. Rendered 10-15 second sequence with slow truck camera move. Three high-resolution still renders using different camera composition.

Week 4 -

Renderfarm review. Camera settings and animation.
2/2 - Modeling with Uvs in mind, UV unwrapping/manipulation. Deriving normal maps

Week 5
2/7 -
Modeling and joint deformation.
2/9 - Basic deformation animation and IK rigging.

Example IK foot rig. (automation script provided in clas).

Week 6
2/14 -
IK rigging cont'd. Using mel scripts for key poses.
            Modeling with blend shape animation. View tutorial for Blend Shape Workflow in Mudbox and Maya

2/16 - Attaching blend shapes to contiguous mesh models.

Week 7

3/9 - Concept Dev day for Assignment #1

Assignment #2: Model and animate organic forms, anthropomorphic or abstract, in synchronization with a sound track consisting of ambient/found sound. Lip synch can be done but one sentence or less and as no more than of the movement/events of the overall animation. 20-30 second sequence rendered from one camera angle, either fixed or slow truck.
