RELATED PROGRAMS
Young Women’s Summer Institute (YWSI) is a week-long program sponsored by OSC (Ohio Supercomputer Center), Kent State University and Wittenberg University for middle-school girls in Ohio. It is designed to promote computer, math, and science skills as well as provide hands-on experiences. YWSI helps girls develop an interest in these subjects by allowing them to work on a practical, interesting scientific problem using the latest computer technology.
Summer Institute Since 1988, OSC (Ohio Supercomputer Center), an initiative of the Ohio Board of Regents, has offered a unique learning opportunity to Ohio's gifted high school freshmen and sophomores and their teachers. In just two short weeks, OSC Summer Institute participants experience firsthand the dynamic fields of high performance computing (HPC) and networking. Working in small groups with the guidance of OSC faculty, they contemplate everything from computational chemistry to mechanical engineering, all while applying newly learned programming and visualization skills.
CCAD's Summer Programs Creative Summer Workshops are weeklong hands-on courses at CCAD for students in grades 1–12 and are opportunities for students interested in art to develop their skills in a creative and mentoring environment.
