Tyler Ayres, recent MFA graduate (Design) is gathering attention for his animated short RED & blue, the story of a little blue balloon dealing with a bully. Last weekend (10/3/2008) Tyler flew to Los Angeles to attend the Nicktoons Network Animation Festival award ceremony at Nickelodeon Studios. RED & blue was one of 29 finalists selected from more than 4,500 entries from around the world!  RED & blue has also been recognized for:

• Best Student Animation and Best of the Festival award at the 4th Annual Blue Plum Animation Festival, 2008 in Johnson City, TN.
• Honorable Mention in The 56th Columbus International Film & Video Festival, also known as the The Chris Awards. Screenings will be held at the Columbus College of Art and Design, November 11-16 2008, Columbus, OH.
• Best Animation and tied for Best Short in the "Mid-Ohio Comic Con Film Festival", Columbus, Ohio.
• Official Selection in The Flint Film Festival, October 18th, Flint, MI.
