The Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design (ACCAD) at The Ohio State University is pleased to announce that Dr. Matthew Lewis has been promoted to Associate Professor. Dr. Lewis, who has a joint appointment with the Department of Design in Ohio State's College of Arts and Sciences, is also a core faculty member at the Translational Data Analytics Institute (TDAI).

His research explores the convergence of emerging technologies, computer graphics, and generative design, resulting in visualizations, artworks, and digital tools. Dr. Lewis has taught various subjects including creative coding, interactive performance and installation technologies, virtual environments, 3D animation, digital lighting, and procedural animation. He has also published extensively in his field, contributing reports, book chapters, journal articles, and papers.
