The Battelle Engineering, Technology and Human Affairs Endowment fund (BETHA) awarded $53,933 to principal investigators, Mary Anne Beecher (Design), Maria Palazzi (Design/ACCAD) and Matthew Lewis (ACCAD) for the project proposal, Mediated Spaces and Human Experience: Using Locative Technology to Enhance Presence and Space. Rather than illuminating existing artifacts or providing campus history at a distance, the project focuses on provision of location-specific experiences that activate story-telling and interaction strategies to conjure understandings of the past within the context of the present environment of ACCAD's new home - Sullivant Hall.
