ACCAD’s new 25-speaker immersive audio system was officially commissioned on January 13, 2025. This marks a significant leap forward in spatial audio capabilities at the center. Powered by Spat Revolution audio engine, the system empowers faculty and students to seamlessly integrate advanced spatial audio into their research and creative projects. The system was designed and tuned by Hugo Larin from Flux and Jean-Yves Munch, Senior Lecturer at ACCAD, with the implementation expertly executed by ACCAD’s Motion Lab Production Manager Michael Hesmond over the summer. This cutting-edge setup enhances ACCAD’s position as a leader in immersive media innovation and education.
