November 2016, Professor Stern gave a public lecture then spent 1-1/2 days at ACCAD leading a workshop for graduate students in Art and Design. Director Stern works on the disputed borderlands between fantasy and reality, exploring the uneasy and otherwise unconscious connections between physical existence and electronic simulation. He works in various media including computer software, hardware and game design, kinetic sculpture, performance, film and video production.
